Agreement to Terms
Welcome to Quran Explorers. By accessing or using our website at quranexplorers.co and our online Quran education platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use our platform.
These Terms apply to all users of the platform, including students, tutors, and visitors.
Account Registration
- You must provide accurate and complete information during registration
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. Users under 18 must have parental or guardian consent
- One person may not maintain more than one account
- You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms
Student Terms
As a student on Quran Explorers, you agree to:
- Attend booked classes on time and be prepared for learning
- Treat tutors and other users with respect and courtesy
- Not record, screenshot, or distribute class content without explicit permission from the tutor
- Pay for classes and services as agreed upon at the time of booking
- Provide accurate feedback and ratings based on your genuine experience
- Use the messaging system appropriately and only for educational purposes
- Not engage in any form of harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate behavior
Tutor Terms
As a tutor on Quran Explorers, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information about your qualifications, experience, and expertise
- Deliver high-quality, professional educational services
- Honor all scheduled class commitments and arrive on time
- Maintain professionalism in all interactions with students
- Not solicit students to conduct private sessions outside the platform
- Comply with the platform's commission and pricing structure
- Not share or sell student personal information
- Obtain necessary approvals before enabling class recordings
Tutor accounts are subject to admin approval. We reserve the right to reject or revoke tutor status at our discretion.
Payments & Fees
- Pricing: Class prices are set by tutors within the platform's minimum and maximum rate limits
- Platform Commission: Quran Explorers charges a commission on each booking. The current rate is displayed in tutor settings
- Payment Processing: Payments are processed securely through Stripe or other authorized payment providers
- Refunds: Refund eligibility is determined on a case-by-case basis. Contact support for refund requests
- Tutor Payouts: Tutors receive earnings minus the platform commission, subject to minimum withdrawal thresholds
- Currency: All prices are displayed in the platform's configured currency
Cancellation & Rescheduling
- Students may cancel a booking free of charge if the cancellation is made within the platform's cancellation window (configured by the administrator)
- Late cancellations or no-shows may not be eligible for a refund
- Tutors must provide reasonable notice if they need to cancel or reschedule a class
- Repeated cancellations by either party may result in account restrictions
Live Classes & Recordings
- Live classes are conducted via video conferencing tools integrated with our platform (Zoom, Google Meet)
- Class recordings may be enabled by the platform administrator for quality and review purposes
- Recordings, when available, are accessible only to enrolled students and the tutor
- Users must not redistribute or share class recordings without authorization
- We are not responsible for technical issues with third-party video conferencing services
Communication & Messaging
- The in-platform messaging system is provided for educational communication between students and tutors
- Messages must be respectful, appropriate, and relevant to educational purposes
- Spam, promotional content, or solicitation is prohibited
- We reserve the right to monitor messages for safety and compliance purposes
- Email notifications (class reminders, booking confirmations, etc.) are sent based on your notification preferences
Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the platform for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose
- Impersonate any person or entity
- Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or harmful code
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or platform systems
- Engage in harassment, bullying, hate speech, or discriminatory behavior
- Share inappropriate, offensive, or non-educational content
- Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to extract data from the platform
- Circumvent the platform's payment system or commission structure
- Share copyrighted material without proper authorization
Intellectual Property
- All content, design, logos, and branding on Quran Explorers are owned by or licensed to us and are protected by intellectual property laws
- Tutors retain ownership of their original teaching materials but grant us a non-exclusive license to display them on the platform
- You may not copy, modify, or distribute any platform content without prior written consent
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- Quran Explorers is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or secure access to the platform
- We are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our platform
- We are not responsible for the quality or accuracy of educational content provided by tutors
- Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you have paid to us in the past 12 months
Termination
- You may delete your account at any time by contacting our support team
- We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms, without prior notice
- Upon termination, your right to use the platform ceases immediately
- Provisions relating to intellectual property, limitation of liability, and disputes shall survive termination
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting to this page with an updated revision date. Your continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms. We may notify you of significant changes via email.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the applicable laws. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the platform shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first, and if unresolved, through the appropriate legal channels.
